When it comes to upgrading your floors, Luxury Vinyl Tile (LVT) stands out. It combines beauty, strength, and comfort—all in one.
Let’s explore why LVT is such a great option for residential homes.
Luxury Vinyl Tile, or LVT, is a type of flooring that looks like natural wood or stone. However, it is made from layers of vinyl instead. You get the look of hardwood or tile without the cost or maintenance. In fact, most people can’t even tell the difference at first glance. Because of its layered design, LVT is both flexible and strong. It holds up well in busy homes and lasts for years.
With high-quality printing, LVT copies the look of wood grain or stone textures. Even the surface feels realistic.
Moreover, you can choose from a wide range of colors and patterns. Whether you like classic oak or modern marble, there’s an option for you.
Most LVT uses a click-lock system or adhesive backing. This means faster installation and lower labor costs.
You can often install it right over your existing floor. As a result, you avoid the hassle of tearing out old flooring.
LVT gives you a high-end look without the high-end price. Even premium styles cost less than hardwood or stone.
This flooring stands up to foot traffic, pets, and active kids. The top wear layer resists scratches and scuffs.
Therefore, it’s a great choice for living rooms, hallways, and kitchens.
Water doesn’t soak into LVT. This makes it ideal for bathrooms, laundry rooms, and basements.
Spills clean up quickly, and the floor won’t warp or grow mold. So, it’s perfect for moisture-prone areas.
LVT has a smooth, sealed surface that resists stains. Just sweep or mop as needed—no special products required.
Because it doesn’t trap dust or allergens, it’s also great for allergy sufferers.
Stone and ceramic floors can feel cold and hard underfoot. LVT, on the other hand, has a softer, cushioned feel.
Some styles even include a padded layer for extra comfort. Walking barefoot at home becomes much more pleasant.
Thanks to its layered design, LVT naturally reduces sound. You’ll notice fewer footsteps and echoes.
This is especially helpful in households with children, pets, or multiple floors.
With proper care, Luxury Vinyl Tile can last 10 to 20 years or more. The durable wear layer protects against daily wear and tear.
Plus, many LVT products include warranties for extra peace of mind.
From modern to rustic, LVT fits into any home design. Choose wide planks, stone tile looks, or anything in between.
Because it comes in so many styles, it’s easy to match your current decor or try something new.
LVT works well in almost every room. Here are some popular places homeowners use it:
Spills and foot traffic are no problem in the kitchen. LVT resists stains and wipes clean easily.
Because it’s waterproof, LVT is perfect for bathrooms. It won’t warp from humidity or standing water.
Enjoy comfort underfoot while still having a stylish floor. LVT’s sound reduction also keeps your space peaceful.
In below-ground spaces, LVT handles moisture better than hardwood or laminate. It stays looking great in changing conditions.
With LVT, you won’t stress over drips or leaks. It’s built to handle splashes and spills.
Sweep or vacuum regularly to keep it looking its best.
Use mats at entryways to reduce dirt and grit.
Clean spills right away to prevent stains.
Avoid harsh chemicals—mild soap and water are all you need.
Taking care of your floor is simple. These small habits keep your LVT looking brand new.
Luxury Vinyl Tile is a smart, stylish, and affordable flooring option. It offers the beauty of natural materials without the maintenance or high cost.
Whether you’re remodeling one room or your whole home, LVT brings value and comfort. It’s a choice you’ll feel good about for years to come.

Just finished having my floor installed and I am very impressed with both the Customer Service and the team that installed the floor. I didn’t quite know which flooring to choose and the owner helped my by explaining the differences between the different types of flooring and this made it easy to pick the right one for my house. Everyone was very professional and helpful. They did an amazing job. In future when I need more work done I won’t hesitate to come back. Thank you everyone for all your help. Excellent customer service, fast help, high quality and fair price Matthew Marioni2024-04-23Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Great experience overall and a reasonable price but I have some notes. First off, no surprise here but these folks are experts in flooring so you are in good hands when installing a new floor. They pay close attention to detail and I was pleasantly surprised with the end result. Secondly the customer service is exceptional, I worked mostly with the owner/director and she was so kind and helpful in this whole process (more on her later) I have some feedback that I would like to address and perhaps this could be something Essential Flooring could implement. I’m renovating an old condo, 1970 building. I’m new to all of this and didn’t realize that the old baseboards of this era will simply break once removed from the wall when installing new flooring. I was told that as soon as they take the baseboards off, they will break and be garbaged. Word to the wise, make sure you have your baseboards replaced if they are the old smaller ones. That said, the owner last minute went out of her way to contact a carpenter she knew willing to do that. I think perhaps the company could consider offering baseboard replacements. There’s a lot of old properties that are simply not ready for vinyl flooring yet. A one stop shop for flooring and baseboards could be a good way to expand. Lastly and this is probably the main negative thing about this experience. The flooring folks removed the bathroom door and did not put it back on. It was only after I asked that the gentleman told me that the door was too big. This can be an understanding issue however they never bothered to call me about this issue while they were on the job site. There was zero consultation with potential solutions to this issue. Instead the door was just left off. For future, (to the owner) your workers should communicate more with your customers. In my opinion the bathroom door being removed is a big deal and should involve the homeowner in that decision. The reason the floor was raised a bit was because the vinyl was laid on top of the old linoleum (probably for an extra protective water layer). All that said, the owner is presently trying to rectify this, we are hoping the contract carpenter she knows can also trim the bathroom door down. Again, perhaps adding services like this from the get go could help instil more confidence in people trying to renovate older homes (Edmonton is full of them). That’s really all I have to say, overall great company and great flooring job but currently lacking in some services that could help put homeowners at ease. I appreciate the owner outsourcing some work in the meantime. TARiiiQ (TARiiiQ)2022-02-17Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google.
