Types of Vinyl Flooring
Luxury Vinyl Plank Flooring
Recommendation for Every Room In The House
Vinyl Plank Flooring is a popular choice for the whole house due to its:
- Realistic Appearance
- High Durability
- Water Resistance
- Soft Underfoot
Luxury Vinyl Plank Flooring for Every Room in Your Home
Luxury Vinyl Plank (LVP) is one of the most popular flooring choices for homeowners. It delivers realistic visuals, impressive durability, and soft underfoot comfort—making it ideal for the entire house.
LVP mimics the look of real hardwood while offering 100% waterproof protection. Its multi-layered construction resists scratches, stains, and moisture, which makes it a great fit for kitchens, bathrooms, basements, and high-traffic living areas.
Why LVP Is a Whole-Home Flooring Solution
Built to perform under pressure, LVP handles busy households with pets, kids, and heavy foot traffic. Its cushioned surface provides comfort in spaces where you spend a lot of time standing.
It’s also easy to maintain—just sweep regularly and mop when needed.
What to Know Before Installing Luxury Vinyl Plank
Although LVP is fully waterproof, the subfloor underneath is not. Leaving large amounts of standing water for extended periods can lead to damage below the surface. Always clean up spills promptly to protect the integrity of your floors.
Proper installation also matters. Tight seams and a well-prepared subfloor help prevent shifting and ensure your flooring performs at its best.
Is Luxury Vinyl Plank Right for Your Home?
Think about your lifestyle. Are you looking for a wood-look floor that’s easy to care for? Need something durable, comfortable, and water-resistant for every room?
LVP provides the look you love with the performance you need.

Luxury Vinyl Tile Flooring
Recommendation for Kitchen, Bathroom & Laundry Room
Luxury vinyl tile (LVT) is a popular flooring choice for kitchens, Laundry Room & Bathrooms thanks to its;
- Realistic Appearance
- High Durability
- Water Resistance
Luxury Vinyl Tile for Affordable Stone and Tile Looks
Luxury Vinyl Tile (LVT) brings the beauty of natural stone or ceramic tile into your home—at a more affordable price point. Designed for busy households, it’s durable, moisture-resistant, and easy to maintain.
LVT resists scratches, spills, and heavy foot traffic. With regular sweeping and occasional mopping, it stays looking new for years. Its textured surface adds traction, making it a safe option for high-use spaces like kitchens, bathrooms, and laundry rooms.
Why LVT Is a Smart Choice for Any Room
Softer and warmer underfoot than traditional tile, LVT adds comfort without sacrificing performance. It installs easily—often over your existing flooring—and works well in both open-concept and closed-off spaces.
Because it balances comfort, style, and function, LVT is an ideal option for homeowners seeking consistency across multiple rooms.
Important Considerations Before Choosing LVT
While LVT is water-proof, prolonged exposure to standing water can still damage the subfloor underneath. Wipe up spills promptly to preserve the life of your floor.
Though not as premium as porcelain or stone, LVT offers excellent value and flexibility for a wide range of design styles and household needs.
Is LVT the Right Flooring for Your Home?
Are you looking for a budget-friendly alternative to stone or ceramic tile? Want something durable, comfortable, and easy to install throughout your home?
LVT could be exactly what you need.

Stone Core Vinyl Flooring
The most durable and resilient vinyl on the market.
Stone Core Luxury Vinyl is a popular choice for busy families due to its:
- Superior Durability
- 100% Waterproof
- Low Maintenance
- Longevity
Stone Core Vinyl Flooring for Unmatched Durability and Waterproof Performance
Stone Core Vinyl—also known as SPC (Stone Plastic Composite), WPC (Wood Plastic Composite), or EVP (Engineered Vinyl Plank)—offers the ultimate in strength, water resistance, and longevity. It’s the perfect flooring solution for busy families who want worry-free performance in every room.
Unlike flexible LVP or LVT, stone core vinyl features a rigid core made from crushed stone or wood-plastic composites. This core provides exceptional stability and makes the flooring resistant to dents, and wear—even in high-traffic or sun-exposed areas.
Why Homeowners Choose SPC and WPC Over Traditional Vinyl
Stone core vinyl’s dense composition allows it to float securely with a click-lock system—ideal for quick and mess-free installation.
Many products come with built-in underlayment for added comfort and sound absorption, making it a true all-in-one solution for your home.
Important Considerations for Stone Core Vinyl Flooring
While traditional LVP and LVT are excellent for comfort and budget-friendly design, stone core vinyl offers superior performance. Its reinforced core resists impact, scratches, and temperature changes far better than standard vinyl.
Still, a level subfloor is essential. Vinyl flooring performs best when laid on a properly prepared surface to prevent movement or uneven wear over time.
Is Stone Core Vinyl the Right Fit for Your Home?
Looking for flooring that can handle kids, pets, spills, and heavy foot traffic? Want the look of hardwood or stone without sacrificing durability?
Stone core vinyl is a smart, long-lasting investment for households that demand performance.

Sheet Vinyl Flooring
Recommendation for Income Properties
Sheet Vinyl is a popular flooring choice for Rental units thanks to its;
- Affordability
- High Durability
- Water Resistance
Sheet vinyl is a cost-effective, low-maintenance flooring option that’s ideal for rental units, basements, or budget-conscious renovations.
Unlike plank or tile formats, sheet vinyl comes in large rolls that are cut and installed as a single sheet or in wide sections. This creates a seamless, water-resistant surface that’s easy to clean and stands up well to everyday wear.
While it may not offer the same level of realism or texture as luxury vinyl plank or tile, today’s sheet vinyl has come a long way — with modern designs that mimic the look of wood, stone, or tile at a fraction of the cost.
Because it’s a thinner product, it’s important to install sheet vinyl over a smooth, even subfloor to avoid imperfections showing through. But with the right prep and professional installation, it can provide years of reliable performance — especially in spaces where durability and easy upkeep matter most.

Vinyl Flooring is Waterproof!
Proper installation is important. You must properly sealed the flooring to ensure water doesn't get past the vinyl, because the subfloor is NOT waterproof.

What Our Clients Are Saying
EXCELLENT Based on 13 reviews Celia2024-11-13Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Just finished having my floor installed and I am very impressed with both the Customer Service and the team that installed the floor. I didn’t quite know which flooring to choose and the owner helped my by explaining the differences between the different types of flooring and this made it easy to pick the right one for my house. Everyone was very professional and helpful. They did an amazing job. In future when I need more work done I won’t hesitate to come back. Thank you everyone for all your help. Celia Gadget Care2024-10-31Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Excellent customer service, fast help, high quality and fair price Matthew Marioni2024-04-23Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Great experience overall and a reasonable price but I have some notes. First off, no surprise here but these folks are experts in flooring so you are in good hands when installing a new floor. They pay close attention to detail and I was pleasantly surprised with the end result. Secondly the customer service is exceptional, I worked mostly with the owner/director and she was so kind and helpful in this whole process (more on her later) I have some feedback that I would like to address and perhaps this could be something Essential Flooring could implement. I’m renovating an old condo, 1970 building. I’m new to all of this and didn’t realize that the old baseboards of this era will simply break once removed from the wall when installing new flooring. I was told that as soon as they take the baseboards off, they will break and be garbaged. Word to the wise, make sure you have your baseboards replaced if they are the old smaller ones. That said, the owner last minute went out of her way to contact a carpenter she knew willing to do that. I think perhaps the company could consider offering baseboard replacements. There’s a lot of old properties that are simply not ready for vinyl flooring yet. A one stop shop for flooring and baseboards could be a good way to expand. Lastly and this is probably the main negative thing about this experience. The flooring folks removed the bathroom door and did not put it back on. It was only after I asked that the gentleman told me that the door was too big. This can be an understanding issue however they never bothered to call me about this issue while they were on the job site. There was zero consultation with potential solutions to this issue. Instead the door was just left off. For future, (to the owner) your workers should communicate more with your customers. In my opinion the bathroom door being removed is a big deal and should involve the homeowner in that decision. The reason the floor was raised a bit was because the vinyl was laid on top of the old linoleum (probably for an extra protective water layer). All that said, the owner is presently trying to rectify this, we are hoping the contract carpenter she knows can also trim the bathroom door down. Again, perhaps adding services like this from the get go could help instil more confidence in people trying to renovate older homes (Edmonton is full of them). That’s really all I have to say, overall great company and great flooring job but currently lacking in some services that could help put homeowners at ease. I appreciate the owner outsourcing some work in the meantime. TARiiiQ (TARiiiQ)2022-02-17Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google.
